How we Review

So, how do we go about creating our reviews and buyers guides?

Good question.

We put a lot of time and effort into each and every one of our articles, meticulously researching accurate and up to date information.

While we do our very best to have hands on experience with every product we suggest, it’s virtually impossible, and gargantuanly expensive to do so.

If this is the case, we’ll turn to our community, our peers and even to the manufacturer themselves to learn every possible aspect we can…

And if we don’t like what we see, then we don’t suggest it. It’s that simple.

Ok, let’s take a closer look at our process when it comes to creating our reviews and buyers guides.

Step 1: The Selection Process

Unsurprisingly, the first step of our process is to find a topic/ group of products that fulfil a certain need. For example, a table tennis racket that’s great for those backhand drives.

We often stumble across these topics on the various forums that we’re present on. Sometimes we’re also asked by our readers for a recommendation.

Once we’ve noticed that people are in need of certain information, we’ll do our best to deliver it for you.

Step 2: The Testing Phase

Up next is determining which products we are going to recommend, and which don’t make the cut. We’ll do our best to try out the gear ourselves, but if that isn’t possible, we have a few methods of obtaining that information:

  • Have a chat with others across various online communities.
  • Read every review, on every site and shop. This takes an incredible amount of time but is worth it in discovering all the necessary information.
  • Speak to people we know who have/ have used the product.

Step 3: Content Creation

Following our testing, we’ll then write up our review and post it on this here site.

Step 4: Maintain & Update

Obviously, as time goes on, gear is going to become outdated and other, better equipment is going to be released.

We’ll continue to monitor our articles and update them accordingly over time.
