On Grass While On Grass
Posted by Brodie under: Fancy Dancy, Queen's

Dustin Brown took out my homeboy Fancy Dancy in his first match back after a long back injury, 7-5, 6-7(4), 6-4. I have to admit that the Jamaican does have the better hair, so I suppose it’s only fair. Hopefully Dancy can get his shit back in gear for Eastbourne Wimbledon quallies, where he has Eastbourne final points to defend for the same week. Luckily he’s already into Wimbledon qualifying, which is good.
The good news is that Brown has at least one more match. If you’ve never seen him play (I watched a bit of one of his Johannesburg matches), I’d recommend it. He’s a pretty entertaining serve and volleyer.
Ya mon!
Not to be confused with the 2nd string catcher for the Red Sox or the captain of the LA Kings – he managed to knock out the entire country of Canada in a single match.
I’ve actually not seen him play before, but am now intrigued, and would like to. Unfortuantely, I have no idea how, as the Gerry Weber isn’t on TV or the internet, as far as my sleuthing can determine.
Am I missing something?
Gerry Weber can be watched on the internet via http://www.fromsport.com. It is listed as ATP Halle. Unfortunately, they don’t have cameras on all courts, so no guarantee that you will be able to see Dustin unless he is scheduled on Center court.
How can Fancy Dancy play Eastbourn and Wimbly quallies? they are the same week yes?
Good call. I think last year he automatically got into the main draw, so suppose he’s not playing Eastbourne. Didn’t even think of that.
Thanks for the shout out to my homeboy. Sorry I did not see his match against Frank as it looks like he had to dig deep. I saw him play in that South Africa tournament and boy was he coming to net or what. Really good to see. Let us hope that it will inspire more Jamaicans.
Just saw the error up thread. Dustin did not play in Halle. He played in Queens.
