10:22 Sorry folks. Not feeling the greatest. A bit better now though. Epic intensity here at 5-all in the third. Sam just saved a match point. Serena holding easily now.

09:22 Serena is ready to cry. Errors everywhere. Has zero solutions against Sam, and she’s trying to make things happen. Sam to serve for the match.

09:18 Not much to say. Sam is using the kick serve and variety to keep Serena off balance, and then running around forehands, creating angles, and holding easily. Serena losing most points off the second serve but fighting to stay alive.

09:09 Sam is still holding easily. Serena to serve at 2-3. She’s won 19% of the points off her second serve. Yeah, that ain’t gonna get it done against Superhero Slice.

08:48 Sam breaks easily to take the first set 6-2. The first four games were incredibly close. Serena seems to have lost the rhythm a bit. The match still has a way to go, Serena will come out fiery in the second, I would imagine. Other match at 5-all… apparently with JJ yelling at the chair. Blah blah blah.

08:39 Just flipped on JJ/Slava. Oh, PS, her coach called her that in Toronto, and this hilarious little 8 year old girl who sat in front of me at her second match, who I’m pretty sure was her biggest fan. So if you want a legit nickname, there ya go. 4-all, looking like a pretty high paced match.
