Masha's problem is that a machine-type player like JZ, Oudin or MaKiri is kryptonite to her. Trying to hit through players who can redirect her pace consistently doesn't work on her average days. With JZ, she was too stubborn to adjust and try to hit over her by mixing in a few heavy spinners. Injuries aren't her problem. It's lack of a plan B when things aren't going her way.

Sharapova has the yips. Nothing more, nothing less. Every time she loses a match it is some kind of injury. Now we are hearing that she has had an elbow injury since the USO last year. I guess that explains the loss to Oudin, Kirilenko and now Jie. Give me a break. She lost a few tennis matches. End of story. Same thing happened in 2007 when she lost 2 matches to Serena winning a total of 4 games yet went on a winning spree in 2008 without surgery to the shoulder and then when she starts losing again it is the shoulder. Come on. Take your losses like a woman and stop making excuses. Not doing her legacy any good with that one.
