Mixed – Moscow

Ah, the Gremlin… er, Kremlin Cup. Moscow, Russia. Home of the headcases. Remember the ridiculous “family photos” of all the Russians from last year? Hilarity. Its all good shit. This tourney has the most exciting story of being a battle for the final YEC spot, between Bepa, JJ, A-Rad, and Flavs, who are all the top 4 seeds of the tournament. Oh WTA, you’ve done it again. Check the draw here. Other players of note include Banana, Nads, Pavs, and CanWoz.

The men’s draw however… well, The Fuzzy Koala jumped on a plane the second he was done in Shanghai, and is the top seed, and the next highest seed is Hanescu. I already don’t care (and yes, both men’s tournaments this week are 250s). To make matters worse, Mr. Russia AKA Marat gets the top seed in his first match. Fail. But who knows, Koyla could be totally jet lagged and not give a shit, and give the match away, which could make things fun. Regardless, the good thing about this tournament? Its in an effing sane time zone! Not the greatest, but I’ll actually be able to catch a decent amount of it, and I’ll definitely be paying a lot of attention as the week goes on, and as the top 4 seeds of the women start inching closer to each other. (I’ll post the points for the YEC’s final spot tomorrow, and breakdown some possible scenarios for players getting in, etc.)

Women – Luxembourg

Oh right, this exists. I can’t even say “I almost forgot”, because I actually did. Draw is here. Caro, Kim, AMG, and Dani are your top 4 seeds. I’m pretty sure Caro plans on becoming number 1 by just playing and winning the most matches as humanly possible. How very un-Dina and Serena of you. And yes, Kim is the legit second seed, even though she got a wild card. We also have Wicky, Ms. Licky, and youngins U-Rad and Oudin. USO FINAL REMATCH PLZ.

Men – Stockholm

Two men’s tournaments in Sweden? Boo, we need two. Anyway, draw is here top four seeds are Swedish Sodomy, T-Haas, JCF, and… wait for it… PICO! Who had a great time in the other Swedish tournament, Bastad, making it to the final, so its only natural. Of course that was clay, but shh… Other notables include Ernie, Baggy, and Feli. It actually looks kinda fun for a 250 event.
