Dontcha Wanna Know How We Keep Startin' Fires?

Muzz apparently brought his game face today, laying JCF to waste pretty easily, 75 63 62. Props to JCF for making it this far as a wild card, but I don’t think anyone thought this would be much of a contest. I didn’t see the match, but I sure hope the test against Stan helped Muzz realize you can’t stumble out of the gate against the best. Muzz had 18 aces, 49 winners, and only lost serve once. I (and the rest of Britain) will definitely take those numbers.

Put it back in your pants! Dick Slap took out Rusty Lawnmower in what sounds like was quite the epic 5 setter. Both players play pretty similar, a game that is great for grass, and it shouldn’t be too surprising that The Scales Of Mo landed pretty evenly on this match. Dick fired 41 43 aces compared to the ‘Mower’s 21, which I’m sure is a good point in the fact that Dick’s firepower is just a little less rusty.
This leaves us with the highly anticipated Andy/Andy semifinal. Stats? Muzz leads the head to head 6-2, including a win on grass (straight sets) in the round of 32, at Wimbledon in 2006. Muzz has also won the last three matches, dating back to 2007. The Scales Of Mo already lean towards Muzz, to be sure.
Muzz’s record against Fed? 6-2, with all matches on hard courts. I’m not saying anything. I’m just sayin’.
I hope A-Rod crushes Muzz. Yes I said it!!!
Wha? Are you completely OUT OF YOUR MIND?
Give me some of what you’re having, dear.
I don’t like either but if I ahd to choose, I would take A-Rod over Muzz anyday.
I would maybe root for Dick over Muzz if that was the final. But Dick can’t beat Fed to save his life, we all know that.
So, basically, Muzz FTW!!
Your kinda right. Either way, it’s a lose/lose situation.
And frak my avatar for not working the first time.
Youre logged in now, its fine
The act of me logging in kinda clued me into the fact that I am logged in now
Yeah, Sam Querrey is posting on Mind The Racket…NOT. Just to let everyone know here, since I have a wordpress account for my blog about Sammie, I will be using the name samquerrey. Oh, by the way this is Em or tennisetviola if you haven’t figured it out yet.
Personally I would like to see a Dick/Haas final just because I don’t want to see Fed win it nor do I really want to see Murray get to the final and all of the British people getting happy about it.
British people = win. Happy British people = even more win.
British people = bad teeth and cussing. Happy British people = bad teeth, cussing, and drunks.
British people own. Monty Python owns, British TV shows own, British movies own, British books own, and British music owns.
Kate Winslet and Ewan McGregor showed up this week already. It’s gonna be a who’s who of awesomeness if Muzz makes the final.
Oh, cussing fucking owns, too.
It was epic. It was frazzle-worthy. Dick’s BH came alive at the end. Guess that wasn’t the only thing he was hiding in his pocket.
Too bad he’s going down.
What the hell is BH?
WTH are you talking about?
really, Boggy-Hillocks is my family’s old Scottish quilting name. I’m proud of it.
seriously, where’s my new nickname? don’t screw me over on this, shitpress! You wouldn’t like Quiltin’ Tony when he’s pissed…
I don’t know what BH could possibly mean when discussing a tennis match
boo, me. I always forget about the Display Name As… shit.
and a 1, and a 2….
that’s a good point, JezzaBelle. I forgot this is a tennis blog. Really, it should be a Quilting & Tennis blog.
I hear Mirka’s gonna make her man some nice, quilted racquet covers. What a good little wife
Nice little blog ya got here brodie.
Oh Muzz vs. Fed? Let’s all be honest here and say this is the most likely pairing for the men’s final on Sunday. I just hope Muzz doesn’t choke up like he did in the U.S. Open final. At least in this scenario, the crowd won’t be up Fed’s ass like they were at RG.
Go Muzz or Haas or Roddick or ABF…
I would like ABF to win. If Fed loses to Haas, yeah right, I will root for ARod the dude has an excellent record on grass and is a shame he has never won SW19. He can win it if Fed is not in the final.
